Dr. Peter Rogers General Practitioner
Dr Peter Rogers is a founding doctor at Healesville Medical Centre and has been caring for the local community for over 30 years. A highly experienced GP obstetrician, he is deeply committed to rural medicine and continuity of care.
Well known and trusted in Healesville, Peter has looked after generations of local families. His contribution to rural healthcare has been recognised with a
Victorian Rural Doctors Award. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time on the golf course.

Dr. Katia Freire De Almeida General Practitioner
Dr Katia Friere De Almeida is a warm and approachable GP with strong interests in women’s health, paediatrics, antenatal care, and chronic disease management. She previously trained and worked as a paediatric specialist in Brazil, bringing valuable experience in caring for children and families.
Outside of work, she enjoys boxing, cycling, yoga, and mindfulness.

Dr. Rasanga Peiris General Practitioner
Dr Rasanga Peiris is a caring and highly experienced General Practitioner committed to providing holistic, patient-centered care across all stages of life. She focuses on building trusted, long-term relationships and empowering patients in their healthcare journeys.

Before settling into General Practice,
Dr. Peiris
gained extensive, well-rounded experience working across Victoria in Emergency Medicine, pediatric care, and rural health. This diverse background allows her to manage complex medical needs with confidence and deep empathy.
Dr. Fereshteh Naghavizadeh General Practitioner
Dr Fereshteh Naghavizadeh has been part of Healesville Medical Centre since 2016 and has a strong connection to the Yarra Valley community. She has special interests in skin procedures, women’s health, paediatrics, and chronic disease care.
After completing her medical training she spent 11 years working in university hospitals in France, gaining experience in emergency medicine, imaging, and clinical nutrition. Patients appreciate her calm, holistic approach to care.

Dr. Zoya Sadeghi Pour General Practitioner
Dr Zoya is an experienced General Practitioner with more than 15 years of medical experience, including extensive work in General Practice. Prior to becoming a GP, she trained and worked in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, providing a strong foundation in women’s health and comprehensive patient care.
She has a special interest in all aspects of women’s health, including antenatal and postnatal care, contraception counselling, Mirena and other IUD insertion and removal, Implanon insertion and removal, menopause management, and pelvic prolapse care.
She is also experienced in mental health, chronic disease management, and geriatric medicine, taking a compassionate and patient-centred approach to caring for patients with complex health needs. In addition, she has undertaken further training in skin procedures and skin cancer medicine, with a strong interest in skin cancer detection, assessment, and management.
Dr Zoya is committed to delivering holistic, high-quality healthcare and looks forward to supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community.

Dr. Ananthan Pratheeb General Practitioner
Dr Ananthan is an experienced GP with strong procedural skills and interests in skin cancer removal, ear microsuction, ENT procedures, and minor surgery. He has worked across multiple hospital specialties, including surgery and cardiology.
After several years practicing in the Goulburn Valley, he brings a practical and thorough approach to family medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys softball cricket and tennis.

Dr. Nermin General Practitioner
Dr Nermin is a General Practitioner with a strong interest in women’s health and integrative medicine, offering thoughtful, patient-centred care across all areas of general practice and the aged care sector.
She takes a holistic approach to health and is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment where patients feel heard and supported.

Tarsh Messfeldt Practice Nurse
Tarsh, as a Registered Nurse with more than 2 decades of experience, brings patience, an easy-going communication style, and a sweet sense of humor to Healesville Medical Centre, making it easy for her to talk to patients and family members.
17 years within the busy public hospital post op ward, and 3 years in General Practice, gave Tarsh vast experience in the way of:
- Assessment of acutely unwell patients
- Effective communication within a team
- The ability to make decisions for patient care independently in a patient’s home when necessary
- Post operative wound management
- Intravenous cannulation/drug administration
As an Authorised Nurse Immuniser, Tarsh is passionate about chronic wound management, immunisation, chronic disease management and iron infusions
Tarsh loves all things “wounds” – from acute lacerations to chronic venous/arterial ulcers, to burns – equipped with extensive knowledge on wound management.
Strong communication skills and a kind soul have been Tarsh’s assets in her long career dedicated to service. She cares about each person that comes through her treatment room and has the patience to explain what & why we do the things, that we do at Healesville Medical Centre.
