Coronavirus Update - We are now offering medicare bulk billed phone consultations, prescriptions, medical imaging referrals, pathology referrals, and specialist referrals so that we can look after your health without requiring you to attend the surgery for physical examination unless absolutely medically required. These items will be waiting for your collection from our receptionists at the entrance counter.

Doctors Stephens, Rogers, Khan and Nagavizadeh share the rostered opening hours.

Dr Rogers provides shared antenatal and postnatal care for Box Hill and Angliss Maternity Units.

All doctors are involved in regular continuing medical education and professional development through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.


General medical practice, paediatrics, pregnancy shared care (Dr Rogers), geriatrics, aged care facility visitation, counselling, family planning and contraception, pregnancy tests, breast cancer and cervical cancer screening, prostate cancer screening, infant, adult and travel vaccinations, allergy testing, ECG, skin cancer checks, laceration suturing and wound care, cryotherapy freezing of sunspots and warts, treatment of simple fractures and traumatic injuries, nutritional advice, weight loss management, surgical removal of skin cancers and cysts, Healesville home visits where attendance at the clinic is not possible.


Appointments are necessary except in cases of emergency. 

                                                                                      CONSULTATION LENGTH

Standard appointments are 15 minutes duration.

Please request a longer appointment for life insurance and pre-employment medical examinations, enhanced primary care plans, Vicroads driving medical examinations, surgical removal of skin lesions, where you have multiple problems requiring assessment and your initial first appointment with us.


Repeat prescriptions for chronic stable conditions are written without requiring an appointment at 12:30 and 5:30pm on weekdays Monday to Friday.

Please attend with your medicare card to be bulk-billed for this brief prescription service.

Please be aware that a longer more detailed appointment consultation may need to be scheduled for follow-up monitoring and treatment of chronic conditions to ensure best practice medical care.

Prescriptions for strong pain-killers, sedative medications and other potentially addictive medications will not be prescribed at the repeat prescription times, as a more detailed consultation is required with your regular doctor to determine whether these medications are safe for your use.

                                                                             PERSONAL HEALTH INFORMATION

This practice uses an in house computer system for personal health records.

Rest assured that all of your health information is protected and remains confidential.

It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health records at all times and to ensure that only authorised staff members may access this information.


Standard consultation fee Monday to Saturday is $65 for 15 minute appointments if paid on the day of your appointment..

Long consultation fee is $95 for appointments 20 minutes or longer if paid on the day of your appointment.

Our receptionists will ensure that your medicare rebate will be processed and paid to your bank account quickly.

Pension and health care card holders will be bulk billed with no out of pocket cost.

                                                                           FOLLOW-UP OF TEST RESULTS

Patients can phone the practice to see if a further discussion and appointment with your doctor is required to follow-up x-ray and pathology results.

                                                                              RECALLS AND REMINDERS

We use SMS and/or letters to remind patients of test results that require a follow-up appointment for further management, preventative health checks and screening that are due and follow-up appointments required to monitor specific medical conditions.


                                                                           ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION


With the consent of patients, our practice uses SMS to remind patients of any recalls that require you to make an appointment to review test results, of scheduled upcoming x-rays and blood tests that need to be done and for preventative health screening tests and examinations (ie, immunisations, flu vaccines, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, osteoporosis screening, cervical cancer screening, PSA prostate cancer screening, skin cancer and melanoma checks, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, weight, and mammogram breast cancer screening)


This practice cannot guarantee confidentiality of information transferred via email.

We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles and Privacy Act 1988.

Communication will not contain sensitive information, due to the risk of confidential information being accessed inadvertently or intentionally by a third party.

However, we are happy to email with your consent.
